Especially in a globalized world where remote work is becoming more common, it isn’t weird to say you’re making income in multiple states. When applying for apartments, it really depends on the individual complex or landlord and how closely they look into your background, but in my experience they really only want to see two paystubs to check off a box, they aren’t analyzing what state that business is located in and where your office was. i also appreciate people sharing their experiences in this as well. I just got out of college, dude, most people move back in with their parents for a few years after doing that. I do not appreciate the comments implying I'm an idiot for never having done this before. I appreciate all the comments reminding me to do things one doesn't typically think of (ie: cancelling gym memberships, immeaditely going to the dmv, ect). I need to have proof of income in order to get an apartment, but in order to get the job I need to have proof of residency. The process of 'to get an apartment, you need to have a job' at the same time as 'to get a job, you need to already have the apartment' is what's messing with me. I am unsure a lot of the process for moving this far since last time, when I moved out from my parents and into my current apartment, I was already employed and able to utilize 529 money. I have lived in NH my whole life, and am planning on moving to PA. My partner is disabled and is not physically able to help me aside from moral support.
